Jim Kennedy has conducted more than 150 client assignments. He specializes in process improvement enabled by information technology and telecommunications. He assisted several governments, major U.S. ports, and utilities to plan new information systems strategies and to select and implement software packages for priority applications. Jim has been the project manager for services delivered to the Port of Long Beach. The program consists of over 20 projects conducted over a five-year period.
Jim has gained international consulting experience working in Russia, Europe, and the United States. In particular, he has conducted assignments for the U.S., U.K., Irish, and Russian governments. Other clients include numerous public sector clients, utilities, manufacturing and distribution companies, financial organizations, and healthcare educational establishments.
Jim graduated as a BS with Honors in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in England. He also holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Jim is accredited in the Structured Systems and Design Methodology (SSADM) for development of government systems in the United Kingdom and is a member of the British Computer Society (MBCS) and a Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP). Jim has been trained as an SAP consultant in Germany. He holds certifications in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and various specific technologies.

As a volunteer, he is a Cubmaster, Scout Leader and Commissioner with the Boys Scouts of America. In 2022 he was awarded a commendation by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
